Richard began his insurance career in 1982 as a provincial personal lines broker and shortly afterwards entered the London insurance and reinsurance market by joining a Lloyd’s Broking Company.

He has held a variety of positions within broking, including time spent as a placing broker; claims manager; operations director and head of human resources.

Richard joined AHJ in 2010 and, in addition to his role as Compliance Director, he is responsible for overseeing the claims and treaty processing departments.

Richard is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Broker.
