Probability Modeller is a custom built GIS (Geographical Information System) for the analysis of hurricanes in the Atlantic basin and East and West Pacific. It has been designed using the very latest object-oriented technology to provide a flexible user-friendly solution with extensive analytical capabilities.
The model holds data for over 3500 storms dating back to 1851, and incorporating more than 100,000 individual observations. All analysis carried out is based entirely upon factual evidence.
Probability Modeller aims to provide users with the scientific evidence required for the assessment of clash potential and the evaluation of any existing zoning systems. It also includes the ability to generate losses from a selection of historic storms. Moreover, the information provided could lead to a more profitable spread of business by identifying safe combinations of territories within which to expand.
